Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-300 Printer

Global media giant Grey Advertising was tasked with a 45-second commercial for Canon’s release of the Canon imagePROGRAF Pro-300. Their in-house production company, Gramercy Park Studios, set out to capture the story of Dallas-based graphic designer and digital artist Magdiel Lopez, who uses Canon printers as an integral part of his creative process.

The Challenge

In the midst of the Covid-19 shutdowns, we were contacted as a result of our work with Artist Uprising. As a result, Gramercy Park Studios entrusted Cardboard Spaceship with this assignment and invited us to be an extension of their team, delivering the quality and standard of service they have provided their clients for decades.

Our Approach

Cardboard Spaceship stepped in and provided a two-camera commercial setup with a dual live-feed to the entire remote team in NYC. GPS directed the piece and handled post-production while our team sourced the set and location, assembled a safe and streamlined crew, and successfully coordinated the production under local Covid-19 guidelines.

“Everyone, including Canon, is super happy so thanks again for pulling off such a successful remote shoot.”
