In 2022, CyrusOne announced the completion of its acquisition by one of KKR’s premier global data center REIT with plans to rapidly expand their already expansive global network of data centers. Throughout the process, the company’s executives realized that the right message communicated was crucial to reducing their employee’s anxiety, boosting morale and retaining top talent.
They also understood the importance of having a well structured communications plan and proactively took action to putting one in place. As a result, CyrusOne retained Cardboard Spaceship to create a video series that would convey the organization’s future vision and strategy to key stakeholders – both internal and external.
On the external front, we worked to create messaging that would build momentum and enthusiasm for the merger and help to correct any misinformation that might arise abou it. On the internal front, our team worked with their HR division to create messaging that integrated their company mission to create a compelling narrative that would communicate: One Company, One Team, One Purpose to their global employee network.
We used a combination of interviews & BROLL captured while in their Dallas, Houston, and London offices to speak to the company’s legacy, purpose and direction. We worked alongside Pierpont Communications, CyrusOne’s public relations firm, to direct emotionally engaging interviews from the founder and CEO, key employees and personnel to craft a series of short videos that would inspire loyalty, drive motivation and compel employee's commitment to excellence.
