Tell me about your background

For nearly two decades, I have served as the founder of KK Reps, a mid-west agency representing some of the nation’s top directors and creatives in the video production industry. I was relied upon by some of the largest advertising agencies to procure the right production companies and directors for their creative needs. I have devoted my life to mastering the craft of selling talent and truly love my job. I have managed to build some of the most meaningful relationships in this industry with people who are doing tremendous work.

What was it about Cardboard Spaceship that grabbed your attention, and why did you decide to join their team?

When I was introduced to Cardboard Spaceship, I was amazed at the number of industry verticals they were diversified in. Often times, agencies look for specific directors with skill sets that match their creative needs for their commercials or branded content which can make my job challenging at times. You either have production companies that have a ton of specialty work in one sector or a production company with a little of everything across a several verticals. But with Cardboard, they truly stood out to me. You don’t see the amount of or the level of work they have across so many verticals that often. I believed the wealth of offerings they present would allow me to expand my reach even further than I had over my career.

“When I was introduced to Tribe Films, I said to myself, “How have I not heard of them before? They do amazing work!”

I have always loved the creative ask, but I have also known my limits to sectors to which I didn’t have solutions, such as the capital markets space. Outside of the creative branded content, Tribe excels at crafting content around the financial markets. I’ve not seen investor days, pre-IPO roadshows or general corporate messaging done so well. I’m excited to join Tribe because these lasting solutions will challenge and grow me as a professional.

What excites you the most about being Cardboard’s new head of business development?

I am most excited about the talent we have access to and the incredible team I get to work with daily. Cardboard has some very experienced creative professionals that have decades of experience with companies such as WPP, Grey Advertising, and Hogarth and have worked on commercials with brands such as Google, Apple, Mercedes, Marriott, and many more. When I saw their reel, I was really impressed.

As an agency rep, you get to place the directors and creatives. At Tribe, I’ll be joining the creatives from beginning to end. There’s a lot to learn and I’m excited to experience the team in action.

What value do you feel Tribe brings in addition to what you’ve done as a Rep

Tribe Films and their team are genuine problem solvers. All creatives know that commercials have their individual complexities and unforeseen challenges. And agencies need to partner with companies that are competent, not only in their creative skillset but also in their ability to stay within budget. Tribe can efficiently work lean and mean but have the capabilities and talent solutions for even the most significant production. I want to always be a problem solver and help, and our resources and relationships allow me to do just that.
