Hiring a Texas-Based Commercial Producer

Cardboard Spaceship is seeking a Producer who is looking to expand their career by working with our global clients to produce new projects.

We are expanding and looking for a senior-level producer to help lead our commercial productions in Dallas, NYC, and beyond for a growing list of global clients and agencies.

We are a full-service video production company with offices in Dallas and NYC. We serve some of the largest agencies across the country and have produced content for some of the world’s leading brands such as IBM, Canon, Walgreens, Marriott, SoulCycle and more.

Here’s what we need:

We need a creative problem solver with strong leadership skills to effectively manage production processes from concept to completion; leading account and creative teams in best decision-making practices with the end goal of beautiful on-time and under-budget production experiences. The person must be driven, resourceful, organized, self-managed, and fun.

This person will be accountable for overall quality of work, including hiring & building global crew relationships, permitting/casting/scouting, project management, budget development & reconciliation, and production schedules… all while keeping the agency creatives happy!

This person will be integral in assisting our Head of Production with operational support, as well as integrating into (and supporting) our agency relationships. Come prepared to handle productions ranging from $5k – $5million, and be comfortable working with big name agencies to small businesses, as well as handle corporate productions to television commercials (TVC).

Day to Day Operations:

In addition to being front and center on productions, this producer will assist in day-to-day operations of the company. Working directly with the executive producer and head of production, this person will help maintain project paperwork, team schedules, communications, travel, and accounting support through managing invoices and receipts.

Processes:

We are always refining our process to become better at what we do. This person will help refine and organize processes within Cardboard Spaceship to help the team work together more efficiently, and if needed, help develop new processes as they see fit.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:

  • Must possess an entrepreneurial attitude and self-employed mentality

  • Extreme attention to detail and organizational skills both professionally and personally

  • Must be an excellent multitasker

  • Strong interdependent skills with ability to follow-through with tasks and projects

  • Strong ability to motivate and inspire a creative team, and delegate responsibilities

  • Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel/Google Spreadsheet, and other industry-related software, and

  • The ability to travel both nationally and internationally
