“Tribe has always been about making work that matters,” said co-founder and CEO Jeremy Robinson. “We wanted a name that could convey the magical feeling of a child’s imagination.”
With the help of Dallas-based creative agency White Unicorn, the name Cardboard Spaceship started with Tribe’s commitment to authentic creativity. White Unicorn took that genesis and created the story behind the name. This story starts with a child drifting off to asleep. Suddenly, he’s awoken by a teddy bear. The bear tells the child he’s crash-landed on this planet and needs help repairing his Cardboard Spaceship.
Together, they repair and craft something new, something different, something the bear has never quite seen before. The bear thanks the child and bestows upon him a single wish. It’s not really about Cardboard, it’s not really about Spaceships. It’s about imagination.

They also currently serve advertising agencies such as WPP, Hogarth, Townhouse, Grey Advertising, and Edelman.

“Storytelling is at the heart of what we do.”
Storytelling is at the heart of what we do. And it’s more than just making a video or telling a good story – its’ about storytelling through video and telling stories that resonate with your audience. It’s about taking the time to understand who you are as an organization and how you want to be represented in the market. And then working with our team to develop content that reflects that identity while connecting with audiences on an emotional level, whether they’re potential clients, investors, or companies looking for reasons to get involved in your mission.
We believe there’s no better way for brands to market themselves than through videos. Our hope is that by creating content in ways that matter most – we’ll be able to strengthen each company’s brand messaging and maximize their return.
Cardboard Spaceship wants to help you tell your story
Cardboard Spaceship is dedicated to helping brands tell their stories and find their voice. We want to help you and hope you’ll let us do so by working with us, so shoot us and email, pick up the phone or we dare you to send us a pigeon. Whatever it is, we want to know what ideas you’re thinking about in that head of yours.
The proof is in our content. Take a look at our new Cardboard Spaceship reel:
