Moroch Partners is a leading full-service agency based in Dallas, with presence in over 30 markets across North America. Cardboard Spaceship was honored to partner with Moroch on a public service announcement for their long standing non-profit client, Taylor Hooton Foundation.
Taylor Hooton is a non-profit organization leading a national campaign to educate youth and their adult influencers of the truths about appearance and performance enhancing substances including anabolic steroids, human growth hormone (hGH), energy drinks, and dietary supplements.
The foundation was established in memory of Taylor E. Hooton, a 17-year old high school student from Plano, TX that took his own life on July 15, 2003 as a result of using anabolic steroids.heir time.
Steroid awareness is not a new conversation, but it is one that often fails to resonate. The risks are widely known, yet they remain abstract, especially for younger audiences influenced by performance, image, and social pressure.
The challenge was to create a brand campaign production and PSA that doesn’t just inform, but lands emotionally and sticks. It needed to be direct, credible, and grounded in reality.

The approach was to strip the message down to its core. No overproduction. No distractions. Just a clear, human-centered narrative that confronts the consequences of steroid use head-on.
The goal was to create something that feels real enough to break through skepticism and connect with both athletes and parents.
Cardboard Spaceship led full-service video production, bringing the episodic vision to life across a scalable content system built for social platforms.
Our scope included, creative collaboration with agency and client, production design for serialized storytelling, multi episode filming optimized for vertical and short form formats, directing performance to capture authentic teen energy, and post production, editing, and finishing across a high volume of deliverables.
Production was built around simplicity and impact.
We focused on controlled environments, intentional framing, and performances that feel grounded and believable rather than staged.
Key areas of focus included:
The result is a concise, emotionally resonant piece built for broad distribution.

The PSA supports the Taylor Hooton Foundation’s mission to educate and prevent steroid use among young people.
By presenting the risks in a direct and human way, the content helps shift the conversation from abstract health warnings to real consequences.
It serves as a scalable awareness tool across broadcast, digital, and educational environments.
This project was not about storytelling for its own sake. It was about impact.
In PSA work, clarity and honesty matter more than anything else.
Cardboard Spaceship helped translate a critical message into a piece of content designed to be seen, understood, and remembered.
